Achieved Regulatory Compliance and Improved Safety with Formal RCA Tool
Following a hazardous chemical release and subsequent investigation by regulatory authorities at a client facility, a leading food manufacturer relied on Nexus Global to provide additional investigation management support. To avoid penalties and further impacts to the organization, the client needed to achieve compliance with the investigating authority by demonstrating a formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for reporting the incident, preventing re-occurrence, and improving safety.
The challenge of the project was to leverage a formal incident reporting and RCA management solution for regulatory compliance and risk mitigation in expedited time. To achieve the goal, Nexus Global developed a strategy for conducting a formal RCA investigation into the cause of the chemical leak and remediate the causal factors using Investigation Optimizer™.
