One of the elements of a world class reliability strategy is the way we operate our equipment. This includes not only how we maintain, but how operators operate. Reports show close to 70% of equipment failure is do to how we operate it. Operators know their equipment, they are our front line of defense in identifying early equipment failure, but with too many organizations I visit the operator mantra is "Breakdown means Breaktime!"
